Mercy Health Defiance Hospital is dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services to the Defiance community and surrounding areas. We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated Hospitalists to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality patient care.

Position Overview:

As a Hospitalist at Mercy Health Defiance Hospital, you will play a crucial role in managing the day-to-day care of inpatients and observation patients. This includes providing prompt diagnosis, treatment, and medical procedures within your scope of practice. You will work a schedule of 7 days on, followed by 7 days off, with on-call collaboration with a nurse practitioner during your on-week.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive rounds and provide attentive care to inpatient and observation patients.
• Collaborate closely with nurse practitioners and utilize tele-sitters for patient safety.
• Coordinate and consult with specialty providers to optimize patient care outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records.

Qualifications:

• Board certification in Internal Medicine.
• Dedication to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
