About the Job
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare BMW Management for Board Meetings and Shareholder Meetings of the Joint Ventures.
- Drive strategic development of Joint Ventures to become successful players in the market and therefore increase financial value for the BMW Group.
- Create strategy for the extension of the existing partner to develop further solutions with respect to Electromobility/Identification of further fields of business (e.g., Battery Recycling) .
- Negotiate business contracts with Joint Ventures to offer services to drivers and secure ramp-up of electric vehicle sales volumes for BMW Group in the U.S.
- Take over responsibility for work packages in the pre- and post-closing phase of the Joint Ventures.
- Negotiate agreements with other shareholders of Joint Ventures as well as the Management of both companies to create opportunities for BMW NA.
- Synthesize business, process and technical requirements to the products and services and negotiate the requirements into commercial contracts of BMW NA with the Joint Ventures.
- Monitor delivery of contracted services, escalate deviations, drive Problem Management Process.
- Define required decisions to be made in Board Meetings of Joint Ventures as well as Shareholder Meetings, drive preparation of those decisions and align with other Shareholders prior to the committees.
- Prepare briefings for Senior Management prior to decision making committees and propose recommended actions; align recommended actions with BMW AG and BMW NA to ensure strategic and operational fit for the BMW Group.
- Align with Corporate Investments, Corporate Strategy, Product Management and Engineering on decision making in Board and Shareholder meetings and include those recommendations into the briefing for management.
- Anticipate strategic developments in the market in which the Joint Ventures compete, derive required adjustments, advocate and align those adjustments within BMW Group and with the other Shareholders to ideally realize value increase of the assets.
- Closely connect to other shareholders and future partners in a legally compliant way to jointly identify and conceptualize further fields of cooperations from a US Business perspective; Align those potentials with BMW AG Corporate Strategy and Prepare decision making process with the other shareholders.

The pay range for this role is: $137,520.00 - $175,365.00.
The selected candidate's education, skills, experience, and location will be used to determine the final salary offer. All pay ranges are based on a full-time work schedule. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related topics with Master's preferred.
- 7+ years of working experience in automotive industry or electromobility related areas
- 3+ years of experience as either functional or disciplinary leader with proven success
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with external partners
- Sales experience, especially in EV environment preferred
- Expertise in Joint Venture Steering preferred
- Travel required 50%
Preferences:
- Profound US automotive market and product knowledge
- Profound electromobility knowledge (technology and infrastructure), especially in charging and the energy ecosystem
- Knowledge of JV steering and business negotiation with External Partners in complex situations
- Excellent presentation and communication skills; Must be able to communicate effectively with other companies as well as with all levels within the BMW NA and BMW AG organization
- High entrepreneurial spirit
