- Conduct analyses propulsion systems and types, lead development of technical data packages and reviews.
- Conduct trade studies regarding ship configuration.
- Familiarity with ABS, NVR, and commercial ship design rules and regulations.
Security Requirement:
- Must qualify for and receive a CAC card, security clearance is required
- Must be a citizen of the United States.
Education:
- BS or MS in Technical, Engineering, or Marine Degree from ABET accredited institution, related to field of work.
REQUIRED Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Minimum of 3 years' documented experience with developing ship propulsion and control systems, machinery arrangements, weight assessments, and conducting trade studies on the configuration of propulsion and associated components.
- 3 years' experience, to include any specialized field experience under Unique Labor Category Experience related to federal ship or boat building acquisition programs preferred. Experience with DoD ACAT I or DHS Level I shipbuilding programs preferred.
