About the Job
Elmco works in both the Aggregate and Agricultural sectors providing a wide range of Millwright services. The ideal candidate would possess the following skills, characteristics, and requirements.
Essential Duties
- Repair and maintain industrial equipment conveying systems, and major machine centers
- Able to read and understand drawings and printed instructions
- Must be a self-starter who can work safely under high-pressure situations
- Understanding of preventive maintenance
- Hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical troubleshooting
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Safe work habits
- Use of hand and power tools
- Operation of shop and maintenance related equipment
- Understanding proper alignments of process equipment
- Knowledge of rigging and material handling
Skills & Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Must have a minimum of 2 years verifiable work experience as a Millwright or in a related field.
- Must have experience in aggregate or agricultural millwright services.
- Must be capable of performing skilled labor for up to 12 hours a day.
- Must be able to work on equipment 50+ feet in the air on occasion.
- Must be willing to travel for work with some overnight travel necessary.
- Must be dependable and operate with a high level of integrity.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Welding & fabricating experience is a plus.

- This is a non-exempt position.
- This position reports to the Field Foreman and Field Manager.
- This position does not have any direct reports.

Physical Requirements / Working Environment
- Location is at 1171 Grill Rd. Van Wert, OH 45891
- This is a full-time position. Days and Hours of work vary (Monday-Friday with some overnight work) and overtime is frequently required. This position has regular on-call requirements.
- Working environment is oftentimes in harsh elements (hot/humid and/or cold temperatures, rain, etc.) Industrial environments often have exposure to hazardous chemicals, moving heavy equipment, and other safety-sensitive hazards/risks. Must always be alert and able to safely perform the essential duties of the job without risking harm to oneself or others.

The employee will regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this job, you will:
- Frequently perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
- Frequently use hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, moving materials, and manipulating things.
- Other physical requirements include;

- Trunk Strength - The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without 'giving out' or fatiguing.
