Job Description
The Junior Controls Engineer will contribute to the design and implementation of PLC-controlled systems for material handling equipment. This role requires a foundational understanding of equipment, business needs, and customer requirements to develop effective technical solutions. The engineer will participate in all phases of the product development lifecycle, including analysis, design, electrical design, installation support, and debugging.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze project requirements and troubleshoot controls to support equipment operations.
- Collaborate with internal engineering, project management, and customers.
- Support electrical installation by interfacing with electrical installers.
- Debug electrical installations of controls and motor components of limited complexity.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of relevant work experience.
- Regular travel may be required, both locally and internationally.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and Internet applications.
- Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, and project management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
- Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
- Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.
