About the Job
Zachery Piper Solutions is currently seeking a Jr. Radio Frequency Engineer to be a part of a program mobile R&D team which focuses on developing and analyzing electronic warfare products for our NAVAIR contract in San Diego, California. The RF Engineer will have the freedom to work in a sandbox and structured capacity with the ability to research and apply discovered best practices to help sculpt RF applications for the team.
Location: San Diego, CA - Hybrid Remote
Clearance Requirement: Must be DoD Secret Eligible or have an active DoD issued Secret clearance - U.S. Citizenship required
Responsibilities:
- Leading RF analysis for the R&D group
- Support passive RF circuit design, modeling and simulation of RF components, and run the virtual environment for research and development
- Support device level creation design and utilize MATLAB for RF modeling and simulations
- Work with a multidisciplinary team and workshop solutions to application design constraints
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain or maintain an active DoD Secret clearance
- 1- 3 years of experience in radio frequency engineering or technology
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Experience with DoD or civilian RF programs/projects
- RF Modeling and Simulation, Link Budget Estimates, Cascade Analysis, Cosite Interference Analysis, Antenna specification / selection, RF Component selection (PA and LNA), and RF Electronics Design (RF filters), and RF measurements
- Familiar with Ansys suite (HFSS, EMIT), MATLAB, and other RF tools and test equipment
Compensation:
- Pay range: $95,000 - $115,000
- Benefits: Cigna medical, dental, vision, 401k, 15 - 20 days PTO with 11 Federal Holidays
