Position: Junior Accountant
Job Summary: As a Junior Accountant at our client's CPA firm, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients' financial management needs and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. Working closely with senior accountants and partners, you will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of accounting, taxation, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, invoices, accounts payable and receivable, and other financial reports.
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain general ledger accounts.
- Assist with payroll processing and related tax filings.
- Support senior accountants in tax preparation for individuals, businesses, and trusts.
- Prepare and submit governmental compliance documents, such as sales tax returns and payroll tax reports.
- Assist in conducting audits and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Utilize accounting software to manage financial transactions and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects and deliver client services effectively.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or currently pursuing) is preferred.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar programs) is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges in a dynamic work environment.
