Job Title: Junior Accountant

They are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team and help manage their financial operations.
Job Summary: As a Junior Accountant, you will support the finance team with various accounting tasks. This entry-level role is perfect for someone who is eager to learn and grow in the accounting field, particularly within the real estate industry. You will assist with basic accounting functions, maintain financial records, and help ensure smooth financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Assist with processing and tracking invoices and payments.
- Help monitor and record tenant payments.
- Support the management of vendor and tenant accounts.
Financial Record Keeping:
- Aid in maintaining and updating general ledger accounts.
- Assist in preparing and posting journal entries.
- Help with month-end and year-end financial procedures.
Property Management Support:
- Work with property managers to help track property-related expenses and income.
- Support the recording and monitoring of financial transactions related to properties.
Financial Reporting:
- Assist in preparing basic financial reports and statements.
- Help organize financial documents and data for internal use.
Administrative Tasks:
- Provide general administrative support to the accounting team.
- Assist with filing, organizing, and maintaining financial records.
Learning and Development:
- Learn about real estate accounting practices and procedures.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance accounting skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent coursework).
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Internship or prior experience in an accounting or finance role is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) or property management systems is a plus.

- the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
