Our global client company is seeking a Junior Accountant.
The Junior Accountant will assist in preparing monthly financial reports. This role suits an energetic, organized individual who can work independently and in teams. Despite its scope, the position offers excellent work-life balance, steady hours, and flexibility.
Responsibilities:
Manage Sales and Purchase Recognition.
Handle Accounts Receivable, ensuring timely payment application, assisting in collections, and invoicing.
Manage Accounts Payable by assembling, reviewing, verifying invoices, and reconciling transactions.
Administer Sales Commissions for Reps and Distributors.
Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain asset management and conduct Inventory/COGS analysis.
Assist in full-cycle month-end and quarter-end close, including bank reconciliation, journal entries, and financial reporting.
Assist with Sales and Use Tax filings.
Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Provide administrative support like scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, conducting research, and creating reports.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s degree preferred.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Deep understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Experience with ERP software preferred; QuickBooks experience a plus.
Strong work ethic with willingness to work additional hours as needed.
Experience with a Korean-based company is preferred and bilingual in Korean is required.
You must have 3 years of Experience at most and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or similar Major. Anything more than 3 years is considered overqualified.
