We are seeking a passionate and motivated Junior Application Developer proficient in Java programming to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will assist in the design, development, and maintenance of Java-based applications while collaborating with a team of experienced developers and IT professionals.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior developers and project managers to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Develop and implement high-quality Java-based applications in accordance with established coding standards and best practices.
- Assist in the design and architecture of software solutions, considering both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while debugging and troubleshooting software issues as needed.
- Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance of applications to ensure functionality, performance, and security.
- Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and incorporate suggestions for improvements.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance development processes and skills.
- Document development activities, including code comments, technical specifications, and user guide.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 3 years of relevant experience.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
- Proficiency in Java programming language and related frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, etc.).
- APEX development experience a plus
- Familiarity with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks (e.g., Angular, React) is a plus.
- Experience with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and learn new technologies quickly.
- Previous internship or project experience in Java development would be advantageous
- Proficient with: Oracle JDeveloper, Oracle Forms and Reports, Oracle SQL Developer, MyEclipse, Adobe ColdFusion Builder, Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver), Informatica PowerCenter, Business Objects Web Intelligence, Microsoft Visual Studio, Toad, JAVA SpringFrame, JAVASCRIPT, APEX 5.2 or greater, Leadtools, Oracle RDBMS, WebLogic, Tomcat, go Anywhere, Java (SpringFrame).

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
