Description:
- Client is seeking a dedicated Junior Buyer to join our manufacturing team.
- The Junior Buyer will play a crucial role in the procurement process, responsible for sourcing, managing supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials for our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement within the manufacturing industry, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and other key performance metrics to support manufacturing operations.
- Assist with the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring on-time delivery of materials and maintaining optimal inventory levels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to understand material requirements and align procurement activities with production schedules.
- Utilize procurement tools and systems to track and report on procurement metrics, such as cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory management.
- Have experience in creating PO, Requisition flow, supply chain, RMA etc
Qualifications:
- Associate/Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or a related field;
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in procurement within the manufacturing industry, with a focus on sourcing and supplier management.
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, contract negotiation, supplier evaluation, and inventory management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve procurement performance and achieve cost savings goals.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to procurement and manufacturing processes.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office applications including Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and MRP/ERP systems. Experience with Microsoft D365 ERP a plus. ISO9001 experience is also a plus.
