Junior Engineer - Polaris Industries

About the Job
The Junior Engineer will work closely with designers and other engineers to design, develop and explore new products for the Polaris Industries Inc Marine brands. The Junior Engineer will need to be creative, have a good understanding of best practices, but be curious and inventive to design parts, products and new processes. The ability to think quick on your feet and able to pivot from ideas that don’t work to other variations, all while understanding that not every idea is a home run.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
· Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college/university in engineering or related technology degree
· Highly skilled in all aspects of both manual and automated robotic welding
· Must be able to adjust robot positions, coordinate types, jog and troubleshoot errors
· Basic Maintenance and care of Robotic Welding Units is required, Fanuc experience is preferred
· Highly motivated, organized, self-starter, able to execute work from daily schedule
· Ability to work with complex cross-functional teams
· Excellent problem-solving ability
· Can learn and apply new information or skills
· Able to diagnose and coordinate repair of electrical issues including sensors, relays, servo systems, motor controls, and PLC's
· Comfortable working with both AC and DC voltages
· CAD Software - SolidWorks, AutoCAD
· Experience using common hand tools
· Machine shop experience preferred
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
· The individual must have the ability to adapt and work in an ever-changing environment
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch
· The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
· Prior experience in the Marine Industry is a plus but not required
