Job Summary: The Junior Estimator will assist in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects. This role involves analyzing project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a passion for the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior estimators and project managers to gather necessary information.
• Assist in the preparation of detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
• Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to understand project scope.
• Perform quantity take-offs and prepare material and labor cost estimates.
• Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and tender documents.
• Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing information.
• Participate in project meetings and site visits as required.
• Ensure all estimates are accurate, complete, and in compliance with project requirements.
• Manage project budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-saving measures whenever possible.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in construction estimating or project engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, processes, and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
