Field Network Technician
FTE – Direct Hire
*Requires onsite travel to clients in Greater Boston (I-495 belt)*
POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the Field Network Technician will act as a point of contact and support resource for the functional leadership of all client-facing service and installation resources associated with successfully servicing and installing all commercial Electro/Mechanical security systems/equipment, e.g., card access systems, video surveillance and environmental/intrusion alarm systems.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:
- Act as the client facing technical interface between client and ISI employees to keep all needed parties informed of installation job progress and pending issues.
- Install CCTV, Access Control, and Intrusion solutions.
- Perform pre-configuration and programming of equipment to be installed.
- Assist in performing preventive maintenance and repair as per a client maintenance agreement and/or warranty as needed.
- Assist in troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing systems and/or equipment.
- Must be knowledgeable of security systems/infrastructure management and process methodologies and practices.
- Maintain direct communication with ISI systems engineers.
- Work with general contractor constructions teams and other professionals to coordinate and install job task completion.
- Ensure customer is effectively trained on system use.
- Excellent communication (oral, listening and writing) skills.
- All other duties as assigned by ISI Management as needed

- Working knowledge of: Microsoft Windows operating systems from Windows 10 to current.
Physical Requirements:
- Required to safely lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
- Required to stand; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; reach with hands and arms
- Will frequently be required to walk, sit and use hands to pull cables and wires, use power tools, work in various positions and climb ladders and/or scaffolding.
- Positions requires the necessary vision to work with small, color-coded wiring.
- The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud on occasion and employee may be exposed to outside weather elements.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current licensure in relevant states, or ability to test and pass such licensure.
- Possess or obtain and maintain manufacturer certification, including, but not limited to: o Access Control: Genetec; Lenel/S2; RS2; Galaxy Control Systems o VMS Platforms: Genetec; Axis; Avigilon; Salient o Intercom: Commend; Aiphone; 2N o Alarm: Napco; Bosch; DMP
- Required to possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable with our auto insurance carrier during course of employment.
