Job Summary - Vaco has partnered with an Energy Company and they have an opening for a Junior/Staff Fund Accountant. This role will report to the Accounting Manager and mainly focuses on fund related activities for multiple entities. Ideal candidate should come out of public accounting and uphold great professionalism. The role offers a hybrid work model and 100% benefits and upwards mobility.
Job Functions -
- Fund Accounting processes including journal entries
- Prepare quarterly financial statements
- Review the expenses
- Capital account statements
- Work with new investments
- In accordance to funds’ partnership agreements, the accountant will calculate distributions
- Send notices to investors
- Bank Account wires and work with accounts payable to process invoices and wires
Education/Experience -
- B/S in Accounting is a must
- 1-2 years of experience in public accounting or audit is a must
- CPA Candidate preferred.
- Must have very good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Work well independently and within a team atmosphere.
- Self-starter, with ability to operate effectively with limited supervision.
- Experience with an accounting software
- Proficient in MS Excel
