Junior Java Developer - Tripoint Solutions

Tripoint Solutions is seeking a Junior Java Developer to join our team. 

Location: Remote.The selected candidate must be currently located in, or willing to relocate to, a state supported by Tripoint Solutions corporate offices: AL, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, LA, MD, MI, MN, MS, NC, NJ, PA, SC, TN, TX, or VA.

The successful candidate will be accountable to:

• Working with a highly technical team in an Agile environment in order to provide timely, effective, and customized software solutions

•  

  Facilitating the flow of continuous development with the integration of unit testing / testing best-practices throughout

•  

  Working alongside Scrum Masters, Business Analysts, and Developers

  Keeping up-to-date with the most recent coding standards and infrastructure technologies

•  

  Developing highly optimized code

•  

  Performing analysis, design, coding, testing, and maintenance of large-scale and distributed applications

Experience, Education & Training: 

• Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience in the IT subject area

•  

  5+ years developing server side applications with Java

•  

  4+ years developing with REST API

•  

  3+ years developing with HTML, CSS, Javascript and JSP.

  3+ years of experience with source control and project tracking systems (e.g. Git, Bitbucket, Jira)

•  

  Good oral and written communication skills

•  

  Deep understanding of relational databases and proficiency with SQL

  Strong understanding of working with a team which implements CI/CD pipeline automation, unit / integration testing and modern development practices such as Test Driven Development

•  

  Experience creating unit tests using JUnit; understanding of what is required to

  consistently achieve sufficient code coverage

•  

  Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project

•  

  A security + certification is required

Clearance Requirements:

Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for potential access to classified information. Accordingly, US Citizenship or Green Card is required.
