ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a motivated Junior Network Engineer to join our IT team and support our network infrastructure, including working with advanced technologies like Fortigate Firewalls and NVIDIA InfiniBand. The ideal candidate will have experience with network management and troubleshooting, as well as a familiarity with high-performance computing environments, specifically NVIDIA H100 clusters.
Some of the key responsibilities you should expect are the following:
- Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of network architectures, including Fortigate Firewalls and NVIDIA InfiniBand.
- Monitor network performance, ensure system availability and reliability.
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network problems in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Support and administer firewall environments in line with IT security policies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
- Work with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
- Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols.
- Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.
ABOUT YOU
- Degree or Certifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering or related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in a network engineer role.
- Hands-on experience with Fortigate Firewall environments.
- Experience with NVIDIA InfiniBand connectivity is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with NVIDIA H100 clusters or similar HPC environments is a plus.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS).
- Analytical skills to assist in troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals.
