We are looking for a Junior Nondestructive (NDE) Examination Engineer - to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location!
Your Responsibilities:
Curtiss-Wright EMD is searching for Nondestructive Examination Engineers to support its Quality Team in the design and manufacture of EMD’s highly engineered products. For over 70 years Curtiss Wright EMD has developed, designed, and created solutions to some of the world's most complex engineering problems. You will play an important role by helping to implement the quality assurance program to support design, and manufacture ensuring product standards.

Your Challenge:
+ Drive the planning, implementation, and maintenance of Non-destructive examination procedures and testing, to facilitate and oversee the quality program regarding Non-destructive examination scope
+ Generate and maintain internal employee certification and qualification reports for Operations and Inspection personnel
+ Participate in on-the-job and classroom NDE training for Operations and Inspection personnel
+ Perform routine NDE oversight and guidance
+ Participate and review internal control processes such as:
+ Certified Material Test Report reviews
+ Procedure reviews
+ Requirements flow down
+ Quality inspection plans.
+ Participate in root cause analysis to implement corrective actions as needed
+ Identify potential project or supplier quality issues
+ Assist in the translation of customer or regulatory requirements into organizational instructions
+ Participate in external, internal, process and supplier audits.
What you Bring:
+ BS in Engineering or related technical or science degree
+ Must be sole US Sole Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance
+ Must be willing obtain Level III/Examiner certifications in MT, PT, RT, UT and VT
+ Organizational, verbal and written skills
+ Self-starter, capable of working independently to drive actions to completion.
+ Ability to work in multiple team environments while providing technical input
+ 1-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
+ BS in Materials Engineering preferred
+ Working knowledge of ASME B&PV Code, NAVSEA-250-1500-1, Tech Pub 271/278
+ ASNT SNT-TC-1A Level II or NAVSEA-250-1500-1 Inspector in NDE methods of MT, PT, RT, UT and/or VT an asset
+ Past experience with training employees in a manufacturing setting
