Junior IT Project Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior IT Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of IT projects. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, assist with project documentation, monitor project progress, and ensure timely completion of tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their project management skills in a dynamic IT environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and executing IT projects, including setting project timelines, defining deliverables, and tracking milestones.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Monitor project progress and update project status reports.
- Identify potential risks and issues, and escalate them to the Senior IT Project Manager as needed.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, meeting minutes, and status reports.
- Support resource allocation and scheduling to ensure projects are delivered on time.
- Participate in project meetings, ensuring proper communication across teams.
- Assist in post-project reviews and the identification of process improvements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in IT project management, coordination, or similar roles.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Trello).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle challenges and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with IT infrastructure, software development, or cloud technologies.
- Familiarity with risk management and project governance.
- Relevant project management certification (e.g., CAPM, PMP) or working toward certification is a plus.

- the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
