Junior Software Developer - Talent Masters

About the Job
Talent Masters is working for a leading national non-profit on its search for a Junior Software Developer. As a Junior Software Developer, you will be an integral part of the IT team, reporting to the Recovery Resource Manager. You will work closely with the Senior Developer and Technical Staff to develop, maintain, and enhance technology solutions that cater to the needs of both internal team members and external customers. Your primary focus will be on the implementation and improvement of software services, particularly a key application used within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the IT team to develop and maintain software solutions for the organization's key applications.
- Write clean, scalable, and efficient code under the guidance of the senior developer.
- Assist in debugging and troubleshooting software issues.
- Perform code reviews and testing to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Participate in the design and implementation of new features and functionalities.
- Ensure data privacy and security in all software projects.
- Respond to technical support requests in a timely manner.
- Document development processes and interactions in the online customer relations manager (CRM).
Qualifications:
- Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - Experience:
2+ years of experience in software and website development with a strong portfolio of completed projects. - Technical Skills:
- Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Pages, Apps, Automation, Dataverse, and related technology.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, HTML, CSS, PHP, or JavaScript strongly preferred.
- Experience with Salesforce and video conferencing software is a plus.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and PCI compliance.
- Soft Skills:
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Highly adaptable and flexible, able to adjust to new situations and changing priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of behavioral health and/or recovery is preferred.
- Ability to identify, document, and communicate business processes.
Contract Details:
- Contract Duration: 9 months (with potential to go longer)
- Work Hours: 9 a.m. 5 p.m. EST
- Rate: Competitive hourly/weekly/monthly rate, based on experience and project scope.
- Hours: 20 hours per week
