Junior Staff Accountant - Ledgent Finance & Accounting

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Staff Accountant to join one of our clients in Vancouver. This role is perfect for recent graduates or those with some accounting experience who are eager to learn and grow in a supportive environment. You will assist with maintaining financial records, preparing basic financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
• Help with the month-end and year-end closing processes
• Perform account reconciliations and assist in resolving discrepancies
• Support the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities as needed
• Participate in audits and compliance checks
• Collaborate with team members on various accounting tasks and projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or in progress)
• Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) preferred
• Familiarity with accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
