Position Overview and Purpose
Overview: We are seeking a Junior Telephony Administrator to join our IT team. As a Junior Telephony Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and supporting our telecommunications systems and ensuring that our employees have reliable and efficient communication tools. This is an entry-level position that offers a great opportunity to learn and grow in the field of telephony administration.
Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of our telephony systems
- Provide support to end-users by troubleshooting and resolving telephony-related issues
- Monitor the performance of our telephony systems and identify areas for improvement
- Work closely with senior telephony administrators to develop and implement telephony-related projects and upgrades
- Assist with the management of our telephony service providers and vendors
- Maintain accurate documentation of our telephony systems and related processes
- Provide training to end-users as needed
- Other tasks as required
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
- · Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Understanding Cisco Collaboration Portfolio preferred (e.g. VOIP, UCCX/UCCE, CUCM, JABBER, FINESSE)
- Basic understanding of IVR and Contact Center deployments / integrations.
- Basic understanding of an Enterprise Fax System (e.g. on-prem/cloud, analog/digital/FOIP, etc.)
- Ability to synthesize complex concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Exceptional interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Basic understanding of Call/Screen Recording, Workforce Optimization/Management, Quality Management systems
- Flexibility, adaptability to rapid change and a positive attitude
- Ability to multi‐task in a fast‐paced organization.
- Occasionally required to stand.
- Occasionally required to walk.
- Continually required to sit.
- Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
- The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
