This position provides accommodation & paid school activities in lieu of pay for the first 40 hours of work.
Summary
The Intern will gain an overall understanding of the business practices of an international language school, such as Kaplan. Intern will train closely with Student Services Manager and Academic Manager in order to receive a wide range of skill sets that will benefit a future career in the field abroad.,
Responsibilities (With Supervision)
- Support the students with various questions
- Help with filing, coding documents and files
- Actively observe staff interactions
- Have meetings with the Academic Team in order to improve the quality of communication and services
- Assist various program administration tasks associated with academics, such as data compilation and analysis
- Speak with teachers about student inquiries to ensure smooth processing.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent or acceptable experience in lieu of education: two years of experience for every year of formal education required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to solve problems and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Enthusiastic about working with international students
- Foreign language ability
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with industry and/or international students
- Fluent or native speaker in the assigned territory language
