Kennel Technician - Openwork

About the Job
Openwork is working with a client in Taylor, TX that is looking for a Kennel Technician! As a Kennel Technician you will be working on tasks that include maintaining a safe and sanitary facility for animals and people providing humane handling and care for all shelter animals.
Responsibilities:
- Feed, walk, exercise, and bathe animals as needed.
- Administer medications.
- Clean and sanitize inside kennels.
- Feed and water animals.
- Wash bedding and all bowls.
- Sweeping/mopping floors, wiping counters, taking out trash, cleaning bathrooms, and checking equipment and maintaining of supplies of the full facility.
- Assist other staff members and perform animal adoptions, helping restrain an animal as well as helping educate clients with their pets.
- Maintains up-to-date records and files on animals collected and all other computer related, clerical duties as required.
Requirements:
- 6+ months of computer skills and previous shelter duties experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Texas Driver’s license required.
- Ability to lift 50lbs and reach up to 5ft.

- $17/hr.
Hours:
- 8:00am – 5:00pm M-F (some mandatory weekends).
