About the Job
The role of the Key Account Specialist at Biocair is deliver the highest quality service in our industry through the management of daily operational tasks in compliance with all relevant regulations, customer requirements and company targets. This includes assisting in the ongoing development of Biocair’ s operational logistics ability to ensure the highest levels of customer service, commerciality, quality and satisfaction.
Responsibilities will include:
- Planning cost-effective and appropriate solutions which do not compromise the quality of our service
- Challenging suppliers on costs and obtaining the best possible price for each shipment
- Ensuring that each shipment meets or exceeds expected gross margin targets, seeking further advice where these may not be met
- Helping resolve invoice queries when required
- Proactively monitor the status of shipments, identify and deal with issues as they arise, such as delays, damages, or discrepancies, and implement corrective measures and escalating appropriately to maintain product viability
- Ensure that Biocair’s service remains accessible and easy to use at all times by the client and applicable stakeholders
- Develop a thorough knowledge of the Biocair network and capabilities to effectively plan solutions that meet customer requirements
- Work closely with Biocair offices and suppliers to arrange and coordinate shipment solutions to include, collections, linehaul, customs clearance, deliveries and where applicable monitoring thereof

In addition, you will demonstrate these key competencies:
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Experience of working within one or more of the following areas: Cold chain, time sensitive multimodal freight forwarding, pharmaceutical industry (ideally a logistics setting), highly customer orientated role with experience of successfully managing client relationships
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams, external partners, and suppliers
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make quick, informed decisions under pressure
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment - Able to handle rapidly changing workload
- Intermediate level Microsoft Office skills

Please note that this is a full time role, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 09:00 - 17:30 based onsite at our Cell & Gene office in Cary.
