Key Account Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:The Key Account Manager is responsible for directing, managing, and leading the business development process with specific target Key accounts consistent with the company's strategic plan. Target accounts will have complex needs and will require interaction with a wide range of high-level decision-makers and influencers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION (Other duties may be assigned.):
- Aggressively identify, prioritize and manage corporate relationships with a targeted set of key strategic partners to create measurable business results for LaCrosse Footwear Inc.
- Directly achieves business results through understanding of customer requirements and making recommendations for programs, solutions, customer decisions and resource allocation. Demonstrates knowledge of key influencers and ability to use them.
- Utilizes and coordinates the company's cross functional resources (Customer Service, Product Development, Marketing, IT) to enhance customer relationships and build business opportunities.
Business and Sales Analysis
- Reports on business plan progress
- Evaluation against programs and initiatives - performance, spending, results vs. forecast
Leadership and Sales Team Development
- Acts as mentor and sets the example to sales team members in the area of business development.
- Actively leverages knowledge of competitors and customers to enhance competitiveness and ability to accelerate business growth.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's Degree is preferred in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
- Five (5) to eight (8) years in sales, consumer marketing, retailing or related industry experience is preferred.
- Four (4) to eight (8) years of forecasting experience is preferred.
- Advanced PC knowledge and skills (MS Office).
- Must demonstrate proven record of goal achievement, sense of urgency and dedication to success.
- Must have a proven record of problem-solving skills and creativity to achieve goals.
- Must possess excellent professional verbal and written communications skills to a variety of audiences.
- Must feel comfortable with communicating business metrics and strategies consistent with company goals to many levels of responsibility.
- Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills
- Must be willing to conduct oneself in accordance with LFI's Core Values.
