Must be age 18 or older to apply.

Must love working with children and have the availability and flexibility to work when our needs arise.

Excellent communication skills with parents, volunteers, and other staff members.

Ability to be patient and understanding when working with children and interacting with parents and volunteers.

Have an extensive knowledge of childcare principles and procedures.

Ability to relate to children and make Kids Care a safe, enjoyable, and faith-based atmosphere.

Must be a member, or be willing to become a member, of Shadow Mountain Community Church, and must attend weekly services.

Bilingual a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and frequent bending.

Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time.

 

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

At least one year of related childcare experience preferred.

CPR and Mandated Reporter Certifications will be required within 30 days of being hired.

Must pass Live Scan Fingerprint check.

Report to: Director of Kids Care

Purpose of Position:

To serve the children, families, and ministries of Shadow Mountain Community Church in a sacrificial, caring, and professional manner, adopting the attitude of “people over program.”
