Our Employee Family is seeking a Kitchen Manager (Certified Dietary Manager)

This full-time, hands-on leader, who supervises the dietary aid staff and cooks, will be a leader supporting this skilled and long-term care location. This employee family offers care for 25 residents and patients who rely on us for life enrichment and quality of care.

This position coordinates with the Dietitian in planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall operation of the Food Services Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure that quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis and that the Food Services Department is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.
-Administrative Functions of scheduling of the kitchen staff, of up to 4, and scheduling of the dietary aid staff, of up to 4.
-Leading and training staff in their position to meet your expectations.
-Ordering food supplied, and work cook or dietary aid duties when needed for scheduling gaps .
-Corroborate planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the Food Services Department, its programs, and activities.
-Assist in developing and maintaining written food services policies and procedures.
-Complete necessary forms, reports, evaluations, studies, etc., to assure control of equipment and supplies.
-Inspect food storage rooms, utility/janitorial closets, etc., for upkeep and supply control.
-Process diet changes and new diets as received from nursing services.
-Participate in facility surveys inspections made by authorized government agencies.
-Compile residents or family members, as necessary, to obtain diet history and quality of product.
-Attend department head meetings, etc.
-Identify and delegate lead responsibility, and accountability to other food services personnel, as deemed necessary to encourage position growth and career advancement of your staff.
