About the Job
As a Implementation Specialist in a Client Focused role within BCG's Operations Practice Area, you will work in a growing global team, delivering value to clients via individual expertise and/or institutionalized knowledge assets (products, tools, data, workshops, frameworks, surveys, domain-specific data, and related expertise, etc.).
You will contribute to cases and proposals by contributing relevant analysis and insights and help case teams create strong impact for the client. You will also support business development and go-to-market efforts of the operations implementation programs business, as opportunities arise, contributing research and analysis to marketing efforts. While contributing to client cases, workshops and proposals, travel to serve clients onsite during staffing assignments is expected to understand client requirements, and design / develop solutions.
The Operations Practice Area is one of BCG's functional practices, which helps our clients create competitive advantage by enhancing their performance and building strategic capabilities. The Operations Knowledge Team is an expert network of experienced consultants who help clients on specific cases related to the functions and disciplines within the practice (e.g., Manufacturing & Supply Chain, Design-Engineer-Build, Service & Support Operations, Procurement, Sustainable Operations etc.).
As a Implementation Specialist focused on large implementation programs, you will work across topics and have the opportunity to deepen your expertise in particular topics as you grow in your career. You will support commercialization efforts for implementation programs, in conjunction with business leaders, through activities such as:
- Support the ramp up of engineering and production systems, aligned to environmental and local development goals
- Analyzing and optimizing end to end operations processes and workflows.
- Implementing lean and sustainable manufacturing principles and practices, process standardization and continuous improvement methodologies in collaboration with client counterparts
- Monitoring process performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Analyzing procurement processes to identify efficiency and cost-saving opportunities and implementing new procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Monitoring procurement metrics for continuous improvement and risk management.
