SCHEDULE: FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE
PAYRATE: $ 29.50/HR
POSITION TYPE: TEMP-PERM
Summary: LPNs are central to achieving the mission. They are responsible for serving as shift leaders as well as performing nursing tasks and working directly with the residents alongside the Resident Assistant staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
·During each shift that they work they typically function as the shift leader, and perform nursing tasks within their scope of practice.
·Nursing tasks include oversight of medication ordering, coordination of doctors appointments with families and schedule resident aides for transportation.
·The LPN may also observe and report health related information to the RN and the residents doctors and provide nursing treatments within their scope of practice.
·In addition, LPNs are responsible for personal care, assisting with medications, and universal worker activities as needed.
·Personal Care tasks including: assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, medication reminders.
·The facility has an Enhanced Assisted Living license which allows to accept and retain residents who need assistance, including two-person assistance, with transfers.
·While the facility has full time cooks, dishwashers and housekeeping staff, LPNs also help with preparing meals, setting tables, plating meals to the residents specifications, serving food and beverages, washing dishes, cleaning food service areas.
·They may assist with laundry, changing beds, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning the bathroom, doing personal laundry and linens, changing light bulbs, and taking out trash.
·In addition, LPNs may engage in activities such as leading a word game, a musical activity or reminiscence discussion.
