Position Summary:
The Soccer Programming Coordinator is responsible for representing the LA Galaxy and the soccer community through events and initiatives vital to the success of the LA Galaxy Programming Department. The incumbent will assist in creating, supporting, and executing LA Galaxy youth programs and classes, soccer leagues and tournaments (youth and adult) and finding new opportunities for the LA Galaxy to become the preeminent purveyor of soccer in the Southern California soccer landscape.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinate the day-to-day operations for current and future LA Galaxy soccer programming, including Camps, Galaxy Juniors, Skills Trainings, clinics, leagues, tournaments, and other programs at Galaxy owned locations and other facilities throughout Southern California.
- Lead program-specific customer service processes by promoting positive guest relations, making every effort to accommodate any guest's reasonable request with the highest standard of courtesy, respect and efficiency.
- Track and report Youth program registration and budgeting numbers in relation to program goals, using the established registration platform and tracking systems.
- Act as Program Lead at assigned Youth Programs. Duties include but are not limited to assisting and evaluating Coaches, acting as the main contact for all inquiries, setting up and tearing down, completing check-in processes, and more.
- Support the operational plans and timelines for all programs, creating a plan that adheres to all regulations and presents a valuable experience to all involved.
- Deliver program specific communication by sending and evolving communication processes and layouts.
- Provide continuous feedback and propose business solutions for department platforms and initiatives, including but not limited to, the registration platform, communication processes, and administration processes.
- Prepare, organize and track giveaways, competition prizes, and staff apparel requirements.
- Execute strategies that seek brand and revenue growth across Programming by creating lead lists and identifying new markets for Programming growth and reach.
- Support other programming department duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of related experience
- 2-4 years of sales and event related work experience preferred.
- Commitment to the mission, vision and core values of the LA Galaxy.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments in a fast paced environment
- Ability to be a clear thinker, analyze and resolve problems, exercising good judgement
- Ability to work cooperatively and professionally with other departments
- Experience with working with youth (ages 1.5-16)
- Knowledge of youth soccer landscape in Southern California
- Proficient in account management database systems and ability to learn required business systems
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
- Highly motivated, with a positive attitude
- Detail oriented and ability to work independently.
- Fluency in Spanish preferred
Pay Scale: $20.00 - $22.00
