JOB DESCRIPTION
The Coordinator, Database Marketing will assist the CRM team with implementation of SMS campaigns, chat bot, email, and other fan communication. This role will help implement customer experiences designed to increase interaction volume and conversion rates across the end-to-end customer journey. They will also be the voice of our customers within the company, looking for feedback and insights that can inspire improvements and ideas.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Collaborate across departments, including sales, service, marketing, and more to help develop SMS campaigns that drive results.
- Monitor the LA Kings general inquiry inbox, responding to messages in a timely and professional manner while fostering a positive experience.
- Assist in the creation and execution of email marketing campaigns, including template designs, copywriting & coding as directed, building clear call-to-action, database segmentation, scheduling, and reporting.
- Assist with the planning and management of the SMS calendar to ensure campaigns are scheduled and executed in a timely manner.
- Ensure the chatbot’s tone, style, and content align with the LA Kings brand and objectives.
- Design, write, and maintain conversational chatbot flows to automate customer service inquiries and assist members. This includes conducting chatbot A/B tests to understand user behavior and preferences and optimize conversational flows accordingly.
- Follow industry trends and best practices, including ensuring compliance with data protection requirements (i.e. TCPA, CCPA, GDPR, and CAN-SPAM) related to SMS while making recommendations to improve campaign results.
- Report frequently on chatbot performance and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.
- Assist Ticket Sales & Service group in special projects as needed.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The Database Marketing Coordinator possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skill and abilities:
- Working knowledge of HTML and Photoshop skills.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong project management, organizational, and proactive communication skills
- Analytical skills and problem-solving abilities with superior attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn required business systems
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings and game nights as assigned
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Education:
- BA/BS Degree (4-year) Communications, Marketing, or Advertising
Experience:
- 2-4 years Related work experience.
- 0-2 years Direct experience with marketing automation and email service provider platforms.
- Experience in the sports and entertainment industries preferred.
Pay Scale: $19.56 - $28.53
