About the Job
Organize and execute efficiently technology and product development trials in product- and bench scale laboratory with project- and pilot plant teams for medical nutrition and consumer care products as well as VMS products under limited supervision from other senior scientists and line manager.

responsibilities:
Key Outputs:
- Support planning (will include ordering/requesting ingredients), execute and manage concept and development trials for medical nutrition and consumer care products as well as VMS products according to project scope/brief.
- Project planning, coordination and implementation. This includes planning and oversight of bench- and pilot plant trials.
- Record trial and process parameter result, support trial and component analysis, support sensory-, shelf life- and consumer studies. Will include organizing tasting of prototypes
- Adherence to Food production regulations and guidelines; FDA, EPA, OSHA, GMP etc. and follows and improves site/departmental procedures and policies.
- Document, analyze, interprets trial and processing parameters and present results to project team and/or management. Will include shipping samples globally.
- Employee is responsible to follow and uphold all Food Safety, Food Quality, Occupational Safety, Health and Environment policies and procedures as pertains to role. Employee will also be responsible in managing the PD Lab including maintenance of supply stocks, cleanliness and organization of lab. Further, basic formulation (measure, mix, dilute, standardize) and design are key to daily operations.
- Develop and demonstrate Expertise in nutrition science, dietary supplements, functional foods, natural products.

qualifications:
Required Skills:
- 1-5 yrs. Experience in Food or Nutritional Food, Nutraceuticals, Dietary Supplements processing or manufacturing
- Experience processing or manufacturing nutritional food formulations.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and comfortably in a multi-disciplinary team under defined timelines.
Education Requirements:
- Minimum BS degree in Food Science, Nutrition or related Life Science area.
