The Lab Assistant will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment according to established standard operating procedures. **Pay Range:** $20.60- $31.08 plus 2nd shift differential All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience and the terms of the collective bargaining agreement between Dynacare Northwest, Inc. and United Food and Commercial Workers Union, Local 21. **Work Schedule:** Friday to Saturday, 11am - 9:30pm **Work Location:** 751 NE Blakely Drive. Issaquah, WA 98029 **Benefits:** Regular, full-time or part-time employees working 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), accrue up to 18 days of Annual Leave per year (includes 8 holidays) and Sick Leave (0.0333) hours of sick leave for each hour of work) capped at 64 hours per year, Tuition Reimbursement and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. **Job Responsibilities:** + Receive clinical specimens from client and prioritize orders as needed. + Accurately identify and verify patient information and testing ordered on each requisition received. + Determine that appropriate orders and samples are present. + Properly label, process and route specimens to testing departments or storage. + Accession specimens into computerized database and meet productivity metrics set forth by the department. + Push or pull cart throughout the lab, picking up samples to be expedited to appropriate testing benches. + Assist with receiving shipments from other laboratories, unpacking boxes, expediting time sensitive specimens to appropriate departments. + Resolve and document any problem specimens. + Potentially assist in training of staff on entry level tasks if deemed competent. + Always maintain a safe and clean work environment and conform to company safety guidelines and requirements. + Conform to established and new procedures and policies instituted by the company. **Requirements:** _This position requires you to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
