Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist Special Lab Services - Children's of Alabama

• Job Summary
  • Responsible for the collection and accessioning of patient specimens.
  • Performance of clerical work in support of laboratory activities.
  • Performs EKGs, Rhythm strips, and rapid strep procedures.
  • Assistance in the performance of technical tasks as assigned.
• Education
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
• Experience
  • 1-2 years clerical experience preferred.
  • 1-2 years specimen collection experience required 
• Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries
  • Phelbotomy certification required within 12 months of hire.

Location: Children's of Alabama · Special Lab Service
Schedule: 7 on/7 off, Day shift, 4:00 am - 2:30 pm
