Lab Assistant at Nesco Resource

About the Job
The position will support research and development department by working with research teams to prepare, maintain, and organize laboratory glassware, supplies and inventories. This candidate should be detail orientated with good organizational and planning skills. Be able to independently organize, plan, and execute a variety of daily tasks. Display good interpersonal skills and be a proactive and effective communicator.
Basic qualifications:
Associate or bachelor's degree in a scientific field
1 year or more of laboratory experience
Have a working knowledge of laboratory procedures and protocols, equipment specific to area of instruction and safety guidelines
Experience running autoclaves and industrial glassware dishwashers
Highly motivated and enthusiastic team player with good problem-solving skills
Organized individual with attention to detail and demonstrated ability to organize and execute various tasks
Solid written and verbal presentation skills, with ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and OneNote
Additional experience would be a plus:
Experience with inventory management, order fulfilling, and external supplier coordination
Strong capabilities/experience in performing chemical calculations and conversions
Hands on experience with aseptic techniques
Experience preparing sterile media and chemical solutions
