When you work as a Lab Operations Support Specialist on the Laboratory Support team at KCAS Bio, you get to further our mission by managing the shipments for the laboratory and ensuring that there is consistent up to date communication on shipment timelines and priorities.
The Laboratory Support team uses their expertise to secure the receipt, distribution, storage, and reconciliation of incoming shipments of laboratory materials, reagents, goods, and supplies.
They also communicate with operations and support groups to gain and raise awareness of shipment timelines and priorities.

In this role, we will rely on you to:
- Monitor receiving dock for incoming shipments and receive packages upon delivery
- Inspect incoming shipments for container integrity and content versus bill of lading, invoice, or other receipt documentation
- Ensures documentation (e.g., Certificate of Analysis, SDS) is scanned to the proper location or transferred to the appropriate teams as received with each shipment
- Determine ownership and distribute laboratory supplies and materials to respective operational groups upon receipt
- Responsible for ensuring temperature-sensitive materials and reagents are stored in the correct conditions to protect the integrity of such items
- Responsible for ensuring proper and adequate labeling of all reagents, including barcoding, storage conditions, hazard class, and expiration
- Interact with inventory software to ensure proper tracking of on-hand materials
- Perform laboratory inventory and distribution or rotation of materials from stock to in-use storage
- Raise awareness of radioactive, hazardous, controlled, or other special designations of incoming shipments, alert responsible personnel
- Maintain organization of documentation pertaining to received materials
- Perform other duties as required
To qualify specifically for this role, you will have:
- Associates degree or 2 years of related experience
- Experience with shipping and receiving is preferred
