The Opportunity:
Perkins Eastman’s Science Technology (S&T) group seeks a Senior Laboratory Planner to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in all phases of planning and design of academic and corporate science facilities.
The Senior Lab Planner will need to direct documentation and related architecture necessary for the design and project delivery of S&T facilities consistent with the firm’s commitment to design and quality. The Senior Lab Planner will market and develop relationships with S&T clients.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Associate Principal/Project Manager for the project and will be an integral part of the S&T team guiding the planning during the course of the project execution.
- Lead laboratory programming assignments.
- Facilitating client user group meetings
- Project documentation from planning, SD, DD and CD phases.
- Participate in all aspects of a Science & Technology design project from design, management, and delivery.
- Contribute to firm-wide initiatives to help advance our Science & Technology project design, operations, and business development.
- Lead small to large scale project teams or provide support on large scale projects as Lab Planner responsible for technical execution and discipline coordination on Lab areas of the project.
- Provide solid planning consistent with the firm’s commitment to design, quality and schedules
- Work with teams across multiple Perkins Eastman offices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture required, Architectural License preferred
- Minimum 10 years architectural experience in Lab Planning
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, ADT, and Revit
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others in an energetic and challenging work environment.
- Pro-active attitude, attention to detail, punctual, and organized, team player.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch-Up and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
Type: Hybrid. 3 days in office 2 days working remotely, flexible days/working hours

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographical work location.
Salary Range: $125k to $150k
