Lab Secretary Tech 2 - Milford Regional Medical Center

Statement of Purpose:
Cordially greets and received patients, ascertains their needs and appropriately directs patients. Has command of computer uses telephone courteously, performs clerical duties and registers, receives, enters, centrifuges and distributes specimens. Reviews all laboratory requisitions for required documentation, and diagnosis codes. Teaches and trains offices, and lab employees. Assists in the Send Out Laboratory on the processing bench and performs sample processing, packaging and shipping, and resulting. Assist in Lab Support Area to answer client phone calls, register patients into Meditech, process samples, and performs clerical and auditing procedures

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Certification / License: none

Experience: Microbiology specimen processing experience preferred. Clerical experience including the ability to utilize Microsoft office products and basic laboratory techniques.

MRMC Differentials:

Hospital differentials are: $3.50 hourly for evenings, $4.75 hourly for nights, and $2.75 hourly for weekends. All differentials are paid based per hospital policy.
