What are we looking for?

• The Lab Technician is responsible for performing numerous chemical tests, focusing on Gas Chromatography, following ASTM protocol

Here's What You'll Do On The Job:

• Performs numerous chemical and physical tests based on American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) methods or accepted industry standards in multiple test areas. A major focus on chromatography.
• Assist with equipment calibration, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
• Cleans glassware and test equipment.
• Assists with preparing reagents as needed.
• Record data on appropriate data sheets and reports data to LIMS system.
• Responsible for maintaining quality records, control charts, and lab supply inventories.
• Responsible for complying with safety, quality, and housekeeping requirements.
• The Laboratory Analyst (GC Department) will provide direct analytical support using ATSM, UOP, IP, ISO EN, and other organization published methods.
• Safety, Quality, and rapid turnaround of tests to meet client expectations is required.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

• A minimum of two years of direct GC Laboratory analysis experience will be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• Ability to work rotating shift with day and night responsibilities in a lab that runs 24/7/ 365.
• Must demonstrate ability to multi-task in high production testing areas. The laboratory is high production facility with majority of tests and projects due in a matter of hours, not days.
• Must demonstrate proficiency using LIMS applications and established chemistry lab processes.
• Must demonstrate ability to follow standard and non-standard procedures.
• Must demonstrate ability to utilize non-complex and complex instrumentation.
• Must be able to work overtime as business needs dictate.
• Ability to regularly lift/carry up to 44 pounds.
• Ability to occasionally lift/carry up to 49 pounds.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability, within OSHA standards, tolerate exposure to various chemicals.

• Prefer proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Proficient on Agilent ChemStation operating software.
• Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably in a field of science.

Shift/Schedule: varying shifts that include shift rotation, nights, weekends, and holidays
