Wieland is hiring a Lab Technician. The Lab Tech will be a hands-on technician position with responsibilities in a metal testing laboratory. This role is located in Shelbyville and will be fully on-site. 

Starting Pay: $21.00

Schedule: Rotating

Pay Schedule: Weekly

Lab Tech Responsibilities:

• Generate and record specific testing data to support incoming inspection, in-process inspection, and all other special testing circumstances
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory equipment
• Record this data on the computer system, facilitate our hand-measuring equipment calibration, and other computer-related services as necessary
• Perform XRF testing, standardize instruments, and accurately report results.
• Obtain, test, report, and file required quarterly, and periodic reports required by customer or specification.
• Organize and maintain systems for storing and filing samples, certifications, flags, reports, daily records, etc.

Lab Tech Qualifications:

• Must have excellent communication and organizational skills aligned with essential duties and responsibilities.
• 1-3 years experience in manufacturing and/or laboratory environment.
• Experience in a battery research laboratory/manufacturing facility is strongly preferred.
• Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
