Debbie’s Staffing is recruiting a Masking Technician/Assembler for our client located in Mooresville, NC!
Description: The Masking Technician is responsible for properly masking, racking & de-masking parts, per provided instructions, so that the resulting product conforms to customer requirements.
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8:30pm-7:00am.
Pay: $17.50/hr. Weekly Pay! Temp to Hire!
Essential Functions:
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow verbal and written instructions to perform work correctly and on time.
- Read & understand customer specifications and drawings.
- Responsible for placing plastic tape, vinyl tape, or rubber plugs on metal part, using the drawing and work order instructions as a guide.
- Use all materials in an efficient and cost-effective manner, and make suggestions to area supervisor on ways to be more efficient or reduce cost.
- Properly rack masked parts for further processing.
- Carefully de-mask product after processing is complete.
- Visually inspect all parts for quality of work, at all stages.
- Transport parts from masking to finishing stations.
- Keep all areas organized and clean.
- Other duties as assigned.
Successful Candidate Qualifications:
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn internal software programs.
- Experience with ERP system is preferred, but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
- Willing to work flexible hours and overtime when necessary.
- Must have attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and work well with other departments and individuals.
- This job operates in a medium to heavy manufacturing environment. Frequent exposure to manufacturing elements such as noise, temperatures, dust, odors, and fumes.
- Must be reliable and dependable.
