About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Labor & Delivery (L&D) **Job Duration:** 13 Weeks **Shift:** 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 Hours Per Week **Experience:** Minimum 2+ Years of Labor & Delivery Experience **License:** Minnesota RN License **Certifications:** - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) **Must-Have:** - Fetal Monitoring Experience - Postpartum/Newborn Experience - Epic Experience - STABLE (Highly Preferred) **Job Description:** - Provide holistic care to patients and families in the labor and delivery setting. - Perform independent, collaborative, and delegated nursing functions according to standards and competencies of the service area. - Deliver care throughout the life cycle, including neonates, infants, children, young adults, adults, and older adults. - Execute standards of nursing practice including assessment, nursing diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. - Develop and revise care plans, coordinate care among disciplines, and delegate tasks to other care providers appropriately. - Participate in shared accountability and decision-making for nursing practices. - Use leadership qualities and skills to define, implement, and improve practice standards and the environment of care. - Adapt duties based on assigned care unit(s) and fulfill specialized clinical skills expected of the RN role. - Provide work history, skills checklist specific to the specialty, and supervisory references with employment dates. - Note eligibility to work if applicable, and ensure all time-off requests are submitted during candidate application submission. - Work every 3rd weekend as part of the job requirements.
