A law firm, serving clients throughout Georgia, Alabama, and the Southeast, is seeking a motivated and experienced Litigation Attorney to join our growing team. With a deep commitment to advocating for employee rights, they focus on labor law, ERISA, and multi-employer benefit plans. The firm also represents individuals in a wide range of employment disputes, including workplace discrimination, EEOC investigations, wage disputes, wrongful termination, and FLSA violations.
**Position Overview:**
As a Litigation Attorney, you will play a critical role in providing legal services to employees who have experienced unfair treatment in the workplace. You will handle cases from inception through resolution, including drafting pleadings, discovery, depositions, trial preparation, and trial work. While prior labor and employment experience is a plus, they are open to candidates with general litigation backgrounds who are interested in transitioning to plaintiff-side labor and employment law.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Represent individuals in employment disputes, including claims related to discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, and more.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings and motions, and engage in discovery processes.
- Handle EEOC investigations, mediations, and arbitrations.
- Prepare cases for trial and represent clients in state and federal court.
- Collaborate with clients to provide clear communication and case strategy updates.
- Advocate for workers' rights and fight for fair compensation and justice.
**Qualifications:**
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the State Bar
- 3+ years of litigation experience (labor & employment experience is preferred but not required).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage a case load efficiently and effectively.
- Passion for advocating on behalf of employees and a strong interest in labor and employment law.
