About the Job
Our vibrant, market-dominating Phoenix office has an opportunity for an experienced litigation attorney to join the firm’s expanding Employment Law Practice. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys who are passionate about assuming a first-chair/lead lawyer role on employment litigation and pre-litigation matters, including single plaintiff employment cases and restrictive covenant enforcement. This role requires extensive contact with the courts, clients, governmental agencies, and opposing counsel.
Duties include all aspects of corporate labor and employment legal representation, but are not limited to, strategic litigation and trial work through all phases of the litigation lifecycle.
Requirements:- Juris Doctor. Qualified candidates must be and remain licensed to practice law and in good standing. During employment, must meet requirements for continuing licensure for law practice.
- 7 or more years of experience with general or commercial litigation defense or insurance defense, preferably with employment or restrictive covenant experience.
- Demonstrated ability to handle all aspects of litigation from inception to conclusion, including drafting pleadings/papers, managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, dispositive motion practice and participating in mediation, arbitrations and pre-trial work.
- Excellent analytical, writing, and editing skills are required.
- Litigation experience in Arizona is not a requirement; qualified candidates must be licensed to practice in AZ but can have the majority of their experience from another state.
