Description
Firm is seeking a Labor and Employment Paralegal with at least five (5) years of experience for the San Francisco, CA office.
Primary Responsibilities
- Compiling, preparing, and summarizing relevant materials for use by attorneys in discovery;
- Indexing, tracking, and controlling case related materials;
- Reviewing documents for relevance and inclusion in case file;
- Assist with the preparation of court filings, including cite and fact checking legal briefs, cross-reference checks, confirming proper Bluebook citation, proofreading, and assembling of exhibits and appendices;
- Reviewing documents for relevance and privilege according to established guidelines and criteria;
- Tracking and controlling document discovery (including documents produced and received in discovery);
- Indexing, tracking, and controlling exhibits and other materials at depositions and at trial;
- Coordinating trial set-up and logistics as well as serving as liaison among various internal departments as well as with outside vendors, such as translation services, document production vendors and trial graphics providers;
- Summarizing depositions and other transcripts;
- Working closely and directly with attorneys and clients during all phases of litigation; and
- Additional responsibilities include supporting attorneys during trial, including assistance with creation of demonstratives and courtroom presentation/support.

- Compose and disseminate correspondence as required.
- Ability to understand tax forms, including but not limited to federal tax returns and schedules.
Qualifications
- BA or BS degree strongly preferred.
- Associate's degree or paralegal certificate with five years of comparable work experience required.
- Ability to multitask using analytical and problem-solving skills within a fast-paced environment with competing demands.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate flexibility regarding client and legal team requests.
- Achieve high level of productivity.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The salary ranges for this position apply to the respective listed locations. The salary range reflects a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a position. Reasonable estimates of the current ranges for this position are:
