Position: Associate Scientific Services Specialist
Location: 709 Swedeland Rd, King of Prussia, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4 PM (40 hours/week)
Contract Duration: 3 months, with potential for extension or conversion to Full-Time Employment (FTE)
Hourly Rate: $31.46/Hr on W2
Position Overview:
The Associate Scientific Services Specialist will act as the primary contact for laboratory staff, coordinating day-to-day laboratory needs and supporting lab environments. This role involves daily collaboration with various teams to deliver seamless lab support services, manage inventory, ensure safe lab practices, and coordinate vendor activities. The position requires meticulous attention to detail, adherence to Good Documentation Practice (GDP), and familiarity with the 5S lean methodology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Support & Coordination: Serve as the main contact for lab staff, addressing daily needs and requests. Regularly update lab users on service work and coordinate vendor maintenance visits.
- Inventory Management: Monitor lab inventory levels and coordinate restocking needs for items such as glassware, PPE, and consumables.
- Waste Management: Assist in waste removal, coordinating with third-party vendors for hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams.
- Safety & Compliance: Engage with customer safety representatives to maintain high safety standards and ensure compliance within lab protocols.
- Team Collaboration: Facilitate meetings and communicate updates effectively with lab users, management, and support teams.
- 5S Lean Service Coordination: After certification, organize and maintain a 5S lean working environment.
- Documentation: Complete paperwork following Good Documentation Practice (GDP) standards.

Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required, and candidates may undergo respiratory training and fit testing. Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of customer-facing experience
- 2+ years in a scientific environment
- Professional certification or associate degree in a relevant field (e.g., Project Management, Six Sigma, Supply Chain)
- Experience with GLP/GxP compliance and 5S principles
Required Skills:
- Technical Skills: Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Strong customer service abilities, excellent verbal and written communication
- Attention to Detail: Ability to read chemical labels, follow documentation practices, and maintain safety standards.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to move between lab spaces, occasionally lift up to 25 lbs, and handle lab hazards.
