SUMMARY:
Under close supervision, perform routine chemical and physical analyses on a limited variety of materials for the support of fluid analysis, research and development, and production activities.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Understanding of laboratory tests to be performed on process chemicals/fluids
- Adhere to the principles of the Quality System
- Perform tests per defined methods.
- Record data in accurate and concise manner
- Recognize and react to out of spec data
- Report data to internal customers
- Make laboratory preparations under close supervision
- Help keep laboratory clean and all equipment in good working order
- Complete assigned work in a timely fashion
- Adhere to all lab safety guidelines and maintain a safe work environment
WORK ENVIRONMENT / EHS RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work in a laboratory and administrative office setting
- Ensure a safety mindset throughout designated area of responsibility.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
Key Education or Certification Required
High School Diploma, GED, or similar required.
Required Minimum Number of Years of Relevant Experience
This is an entry level position for a new lab employee with 0-1 years of experience.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Language Ability:
A good command of the English language is mandatory.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Internet software and Database software.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
There are no managerial responsibilities for this position.
Competencies:
Position holder has good communication and prioritization skills. Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment, work on different projects at the same time, follow instructions, and think analytically. Must be a team player who is result/customer oriented.
Work environment:
While performing the duties of this job the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The associate must be able to safely work in a variety of potentially hazardous situations. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to carefully, and precisely manipulate samples, apparatus, and sensitive instruments. The employee is frequently required to stand and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk sit and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, or no more than local or country regulations allow. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

In accordance with applicable pay transparency requirements, the expected salary for this position is ranges from $19.00 to $21.00 per hour. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
