Job Description
The Producer Testing Laboratory Technician I receives sufficient authority from, and is accountable to the Laboratory Manager or appointed designate for the successful completion of assigned duties and responsibilities and has the authority to take action necessary to carry out the duties and responsibilities of this position and to identify the occurrence of departures from the procedures for performing tests and/or calibrations, so long as such action does not deviate from established company guidelines, is consistent with sound technical and business judgment, and follows the practices of the laboratory.
OVERALL OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and demonstrate manual dexterity while performing job duties
- The employee will frequently stand, carry/push/lift up to 50 lbs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach up to a level of 8 feet and climb a height of up to 10 ft.
- Must be able to concentrate for extended periods of time, paying attention to detail
- Frequent operation of standard office machines, including computer
- Frequent ability to move freely about the office building
Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Laboratory/Scientific Experience Not Required
