Laboratory Technician Trainee PBF Energy Inc. (NYSE:PBF) is one of the largest independent refiners in North America, operating, through its subsidiaries, oil refineries and related facilities. We are a growing organization seeking a talented Laboratory Technician Trainee to join our team as a pivotal member here at PBF Energy. This role is located at Torrance Refining Company in Torrance, CA. Job Summary The Laboratory Technician performs laboratory analysis of refinery feed, intermediate and product streams, by-products, chemicals and gases utilizing standardized lab methods (ASTM). Key Responsibilities Perform testing according to established procedures. Recognize on-spec and off-specification test results and communicate findings to lab management and operation personnel. Keep lab equipment and work areas clean to ensure safe and efficient laboratory operation. Make proper shift relief and communicate any problems or unusual circumstances experienced or anticipated. Actively participate in safety reviews and task hazard assessments for the equipment to be operated and all team HSSE related activities. Perform training as required to master and stay proficient in all areas of responsibilities. Required to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends and holidays in a 24/7 operation.
